Day 10 of my #30daybloggingchallenge Best trip of my life

The best trip of my life was when my husband and I went on our last trip to Disney World and on a Carnival Cruise.

This trip was a redo from 2013 which was when we did a road trip to Walt Disney World and it was horrible. Everything went wrong. This time, it was rocky at times, but we had a fantastic time.

I decided to pre-film my announcement of the trip before we left and wait until we arrived in Miami to release it. It was to be a surprise. When we set off, we drove from Tulsa, OK to Miami, Fl. It took two days and we stayed overnight in a hotel in Birmingham.

We finally reached the Aloft Hotel in Miami where we stayed for two days. It was a very modern and swanky hotel. While we were in Miami, we ate at Sugar Factory using a groupon. It is a place you just have to go. We got the large non-alcoholic fruit punch drink, burgers, and fries.

I enjoyed the breakfast the morning we left for the cruise. It was 10.00 a person, but it was all you could eat; eggs, muffins, bagels, meat, cheese, milk, coffee, juice, among many other things.

I have to say, I went in to cruise on Carnival with no expectations, but came out a Carnival fan! There were so many things to do such as seeing live shows, going to clubs, and the adults only deck. I really loved the food. I am very picky and also have food issues. I never had an issue finding things I wanted to eat.

We saw Key West just after Hurricane Irma. It is a fun place to visit, but you could definitely see the damage from the storm. There were trees down in a lot of areas. We took a tram around the area to see various sites.

The Cozumel port of call was not what I expected. It was very hot and we had to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. We went on a walking tour of a Ruins site and got some good footage. The best part was the pier right off the cruise ship where there was lots of shopping at bargain prices and good restaurants. We plan to go back and spend some time there.

My husband Kenneth and I enjoyed just going out at night to the pool and staying out until the early morning. It was so much fun to just cut loose and hang out in the pool at night or go to live shows! Before we knew it, it was time to get back to the USA and drive to Walt Disney World.

We stayed at The Radisson on a friends recommendation just across the street from the back entrance to the resort. It was a very nice resort with a bar and a restaurant. The room was very nice and spacious with a great view of the area around Disney.

We stayed there for three days and enjoyed Walt Disney World. We tried Cape May Cafe, which was excellent and Ohana, a vacation staple for us. I also took him to The Boathouse where we had some of the best burgers and fries we'd ever had!

We enjoyed seeing the new Magic Kingdom night show and it brought tears to my eyes. I felt "mousetears" in the happiest place on earth. We were sad to drive home and say goodbye to an amazing vacation, but we know that there will be many more to come.

And that is the best trip of my life.

Finish strong!

We're down to the last few weeks folks! I have to finish my editorial on the college admissions scandal this weekend and this month will be attending a religious service for intercultural communication. On the 18th, I will be attending the Campus Activities Board for student leadership recognition and then a gala for winning a scholarship! This has been a challenging semester with lots of illness and pain, but I can see the light. I will have three weeks off until my summer classes start. I am taking Social Media Marketing and Honors TCC Connection. My job requires all students working there to enroll in a class each semester to advance their learning. In the fall, I am taking Principles of Advertising, Honors TCC Connection, Digital Photography, and Japanese I. Wish me luck! Gabrielle

Things are looking up

Things are changing around here... My husband got a promotion to Assistant Manager at Wal Mart. We are waiting to find out where his job will be. It could be within driving distance of Tulsa, but we aren't for sure. We do know it should be in this area. He has to attend a four week class to be trained in his new job before he is moved. Which means that Japan is postponed until a later date. Another bit of good news...I'm going back to college. I'm attending Tulsa Community College and studying Strategic Communications, otherwise known as Public Relations. I will be finishing my Associates degree there and lack 6-8 classes! I am also being approved for financial aid. I will only be going part time since that is what my aid will cover due to my previous degree. This works out well for me anyway due to having seizures and being unable to take on a full schedule. Once I have completed this degree, I will be attending Oklahoma State University to finish my B.A. in Strate...

Day 14 of my #30daybloggingchallenge Three healthy habits

I have started to try to incorporate more healthy habits into my life as of late. Here are three. 1. Get to bed at a decent hour. I used to stay up until after midnight every night, just surfing the net and watching television. Now, I try to get in bed by 10:30 or 11 p.m. at the latest. Getting more sleep allows me to be more productive the next day. 2. Drinking more water. I have started drinking more water. I prefer bottled water or sparkling water, I  do not like the water from the tap in my area; it has a strange taste. My mom dislikes tap water too and keeps bottled water around for that reason. 3. Get some exercise in daily. Whether it be going back to the gym or going to the park or stretches here, I try to do something. I've been doing house cleaning daily this week and that requires lots of exercise on my part. What are your three healthy habits?
