Things are changing around here...
My husband got a promotion to Assistant Manager at Wal Mart. We are waiting to find out where his job will be. It could be within driving distance of Tulsa, but we aren't for sure. We do know it should be in this area. He has to attend a four week class to be trained in his new job before he is moved. Which means that Japan is postponed until a later date.
Another bit of good news...I'm going back to college. I'm attending Tulsa Community College and studying Strategic Communications, otherwise known as Public Relations. I will be finishing my Associates degree there and lack 6-8 classes! I am also being approved for financial aid. I will only be going part time since that is what my aid will cover due to my previous degree. This works out well for me anyway due to having seizures and being unable to take on a full schedule.
Once I have completed this degree, I will be attending Oklahoma State University to finish my B.A. in Strategic Communications. I will be eligible for the Transfer Scholarship by then and will take anything offered. All I need is 24 plus transferable hours and a 3.25 g.p.a. both of which I can fulfill. My college Advisor and I have worked up a plan where I would take courses at OSU-Tulsa and then ride the big orange bus to Stillwater where my Public Relations courses are.
This fall, I am taking an 8 week course in Advanced Composition. It's my way of getting back into the swing of things...and it was the only thing available this fall semester at short notice. No matter what happens with Kenneth's job, we have decided that my education is also a priority and we will work it out.
My long range goal is to get back into the media field, most likely part time and/or remote in public relations and social media. I'd like to work with various companies and be a spokeswoman/influencer.
Oh.....and on my @Magiktraveler, I now have 1k plus followers! I'm super excited and happy!
Stay tuned, I will be taking you along on my new adventures!
TTFN,
Gabrielle
