Monday it all starts

I start my second semester back Monday! This semester, I am taking three courses; Writing for the Mass Media, Intercultural Communication, and Honors Connection. The Honors class is part of my position as Business Manager at The TCC Connection.

I attend work meetings once a week and classes twice weekly. I've been told that the Intercultural Communication course I'm taking is going to be interesting. A friend of mine told me that it involved going to cultural opportunities and experiences, then writing about the experience.

I interviewed at Resolute PR today for a position. I was able to secure the interview by contacting the company on my Instagram direct message. I enjoyed the interview and meeting everyone. The inside of the building itself was very classic Gothic, while the office itself was modern. The office was located next to a Topeca coffee. I certainly was excited to find out they had great local coffee for $2!

This year, my goal is to work at The TCC Connection and take any opportunity I can to be involved in my chosen field of Public Relations. I want to to get as much valuable hands on experience  as I can while obtaining my degree.

Things are looking up

Things are changing around here... My husband got a promotion to Assistant Manager at Wal Mart. We are waiting to find out where his job will be. It could be within driving distance of Tulsa, but we aren't for sure. We do know it should be in this area. He has to attend a four week class to be trained in his new job before he is moved. Which means that Japan is postponed until a later date. Another bit of good news...I'm going back to college. I'm attending Tulsa Community College and studying Strategic Communications, otherwise known as Public Relations. I will be finishing my Associates degree there and lack 6-8 classes! I am also being approved for financial aid. I will only be going part time since that is what my aid will cover due to my previous degree. This works out well for me anyway due to having seizures and being unable to take on a full schedule. Once I have completed this degree, I will be attending Oklahoma State University to finish my B.A. in Strate...

Hello there!

Hello! For those who don't know me, let me pour you a glass of sweet tea and let's chat. My name is Gabrielle Farringer and I am a Disney fanatic. I always have been ever since I was a little girl. A little about me: I am happily married to a man named Kenneth since 2006, but we've been together since 2000. Our 12th wedding anniversary comes up next month on June 17th. I have a spirited furbaby, Nando who is the light of my life. I love Disney, WWE, cooking, shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. My first trip to Walt Disney World was on June 18, 2006 when we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter for four days, followed by a 3 day cruise on the Wonder. It was a fabulous time and one we still fondly remember! Since then, I have visited Walt Disney World 10+ times and Disneyland twice. My husband and I took another cruise on the Wonder in 2010 as well. I am looking forward to sharing more with you and hearing from you! Tata for now Gabrie...
