My husband and I have been working out at our local gym, Genesis Health Club now for close to a month and we love it! I can tell a difference in how we both feel and look. Even though I have a pulled ligament in my right knee, I'm keeping to my routine. My routine includes the treadmill and lots of core building work outs. I work out on the weight machines primarily and focus on upper body and abs. I also walk on the treadmill for at least 15 minutes. My treat to myself when it's all over is to get in the hot tub and pool. This to me is a big perk of being members of Genesis. It was actually the deciding factor when we joined. I love a hot tub after a good work out and we both like being in the pool. They also have a steam room, which we have not used yet. We may use it soon. I've tried to work out at home and I get bored. I'm someone who likes to go to a gym. I love to work out on the machines and get in the pool and hot tub afterwards. It works for me and hubs ...

I was stunned when I heard that we lost iconic designer, Kate Spade to suicide. I have been a fan of her line for some time and have several of her bags and some of her accessories. It is truly a sad day. I still remember the first Kate Spade bag I ever owned. I still have it. My cousin gave it to me a few years ago and I've been addicted ever since. Suicide is such a horrible thing. Everyone I know has someone in their life that has dealt with suicidal thoughts or actions. My prayers go out to Spade's family in this difficult time. I would imagine it would be difficult after an event like this. Do not suffer in silence.
